Current Music in Head: Mai Kuraki - What Are You Waiting For

Actually, it was claimed quite a long time ago, on August 23rd. The actual 1000th visitor didn't contact me (probably afraid that I would rant on them), but ~bluewaker-san (the 1001th visitor) did instead. For the kiriban pic, he requested that I draw a picture of myself. I'm kind of done the sketch now, and I'm currently in the colouring process. Man, it's such a pain to colour skin on Photoshop. I'll try to get it done sometime this week before the school workload gets heavier.

Yes, I realize that I sound really unenthusiastic today. My eyes are hurting from staring at my computer screen trying to squeeze a Bridge essay out of my brain the entire afternoon. It might also be because it's the second week of school, and well... there's nothing much to be enthusiastic about.

Oh yeah, I entered Kaze-Hime's contest. (It's probably my featured deviation at the moment.) That's probably the first real and complete background I CGed (the previous, as you may or may not know, consisting of partial windows and balconies.) It's also my first CG on the tablet, and probably the best CG I've ever done.

Life is easier with a tablet. <--- advice for all you non-tablet-users.

By the way, I have Wacom Intuos 3.

Oh yeah, I downloaded a lot of new MP3s since my last update XD <--- is totally shameless. I think I'm getting over my RURUTIA obsession. All her songs seem to sound the same, and her voice sounds too strain at times. The tunes and arrangements are still awesome though. My newest obsession? MUCC! I downloaded their new single, Utagoe, and man is it good XD I think my interest is shifting to rock music now. They seem to have more energy and emotion than most pop songs (well, of course, I'm talking J since I don't really listen to American music XD). I really love the strong bass too.

I WENT TO CNANIME LAST LAST WEEKEND!!!! I only went on Friday and Sunday since I had something on Saturday. Friday was pretty boring 'cause I didn't bring money and just trailed along with my friends as they went shopping. There weren't that many panels there, so there was nothing else to do. I had a lot of fun shopping on Sunday though. I bought a Hyde CD (FAITH!!! XD), Paradise Kiss ring and necklace, one of *StudioQube's prints, and 3 volumes of manga. I bought 2 volumes of Boys Be 'cause I remember reading on Anime News Network that it was a good series, but man did it suck. It must be the corniest shounen romance I've ever read. But hey, it was $3 a volume. I also got Nodame Cantabile volume 1 (which I have to say is one of the best manga I've ever read) for only $7!!!! As for the Hyde CD, I haven't listened past track 2 yet. It's still on the coffee table downstairs and I'm too lazy to bring it upstairs to my computer (and I call myself a Hyde fan, lol )

Has anyone watched Summer Snow? It's supposedly a really popular Jdrama but all the fans I've talked to so far haven't seen it. If you like TV drama or shoujo manga, this series is a must-watch! I have to say that the first episode wasn't that exciting, and the last episode kind of sucked, but the series contains some of the most memorable and realistic characters I've ever seen XD

Last, but not least, here are a list of art I still need to finish/start: (ranked by priority)

- Axel art-trade: about 1/3 done but the rest of it will probably take me forever to finish

- Kiriban request: 1/2 done? I still need to CG it. The actual process won't take long but I'm having trouble deciding which style to use. Bear with me.

- Pleiades/Sky pic: 1/10 done. Yes, this is the only project on this list that I'm doing for myself. It's either that I'm too leniant with requests or that I'm too unmotivated to draw when I'm not requested. I think it's the second.

- Satoshi and Daisuke request: 1/15 done. This is for a friend at school. I only finished a (very) rough sketch and still need to google the two dudes for their faces and hairstyles. But since this is due at the end of the year, I don't really have to finish it right away XD

- Two Dudes request: Haven't started. This is also for a friend at school. She requested that I draw any two guys in any pose (preferrably in a yaoi one). I don't really have an idea for it yet, but this is also due at the end of the year, so...
